Graduate of Mechanical Engineeringa

Graduado en Ingeniería Mecánica

As a Mechanical Engineering graduate, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in projects to design and develop machine parts such as rolling-element bearings, gears, flywheels, springs, brakes, clutches, dampers, steering systems, heat engines, turbines and hydraulic systems, which are all necessary to ensure that trains, bicycles, airplanes, cars, helicopters and concrete mixers work properly.

You’ll also be able to calculate the structure of buildings such as high-rises, private homes, bridges and sport stadiums, and even the structure of a helicopter and a Formula 1 race car chassis.

Graduates may form part of a team or become team leaders. They can work for a company with a technical office, at a technology center doing research on mechanics, or on simulation projects for airplanes, trains and trucks.

Some Mechanical Engineering graduates set up their own engineering firms to provide services to companies. Finally, training in the degree program enables graduates to work in sales and purchasing departments, where they can comfortably fill positions involving direct contact with clients and suppliers.

Where will I work?

Companies interested in hiring Mechanical Engineering graduates have ties to the auto industry, machine tools, construction, research centers, aeronautics and more. They include EADS, GAMESA, CAF, CIE AUTOMOTIVE, MICHELIN, VOLKSWAGEN, SEAT, IRIZAR, DANOBAT, IKERLAN, FATRONIK, CEIT, TEKNIKER, IBERIA, IDOM, SENER and ARCELOR MITTAL.
