Application process

Application Process

 

The online application is for exchange students from partner institutions only. To use this application, the student must be approved by his or her home university for exchange. If there are students who would like to participate in an exchange program at TECNUN but are not enrolled at a partner institution, they should contact their International Relations Office.

STEP 1: NOMINATION

In order to do your nominations, we would need your coordinator to complete our online nomination form.
 
The nomination should state the following information:

  • Student’s name
  • Date of birth
  • Email address
  • Gender
  • Nationality
  • Major/Degree of study
  • Years completed
  • Semester(s) of study
  • Home University & country


STEP 2: APPLICATION AND REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION

Once the nomination deadline has finished we will send to students all the relevant information and instructions to follow in order to complete their application.

To apply for admission as an exchange student, you will need:

  • Fill out the online application form.
  • Scanned passport-type photo
  • Scanned passport
  • An official letter from your university certifying that you have been selected to undertake a semester at TECNUN.
  • Proof of health insurance. Students will not be admitted without proof of health insurance. Students must have adequate coverage prior to their arrival and this is their responsibility
  • Transcripts of records

 

The application periods are as follows:

Fall Semester 

Due to the current situation we have decided to extend our nomination and application deadlines for the Fall 2020 and Full Year 2020-21.

  • New! nomination deadline: 1st May 2020

  • New! application deadline: 20th May 2020

Spring Semester

  • Nomination deadline: September 15

  • Application deadline: October 15

 
ACCEPTANCE LETTER
Once the International Relations Service has evaluated the student's application form and transcript of records and accepted the student to the exchange program, the student will receive a letter of acceptance together along with additional information.
The letter of acceptance can be used to apply for a residence permit or visa if necessary.
