Elective subjects in the degree program*

Elective subjects in the degree program

Students in all Engineering degree programs must be enrolled in 4 ECTS credits of ELECTIVE subjects and 2 ECTS credits of CULTURAL KEYS* subjects. Because these subjects are electives, students may choose the subjects they want to take from the options shown below.

CULTURAL KEYS SUBJECTS (2019-2020 ACADEMIC YEAR)

These subjects form part of the University’s Core Curriculum. They contribute to students’ intellectual development and provide a complement to specialized professional training by promoting academic habits and encouraging an interdisciplinary approach.

In this block of subjects, students should be aware of the following:

  • Social, cultural or sports activities will not be recognized to replace CULTURAL KEYS subjects for ECTS credits.

  • These subjects must be taken at Tecnun. Subjects taken at another university will not be recognized in their place. For this reason, students interested in participating in an exchange program should plan to complete the exchange in the second semester of the third year.

ELECTIVE SUBJECTS (2019-2020 ACADEMIC YEAR)

Electives are instrumental subjects that provide specific knowledge on a wide range of topics and skills.

In this case, social, cultural and sports activities approved by Tecnun may be recognized for the number of ECTS credits corresponding to this block of subjects. Students who have enrolled in elective subjects may not cancel their enrollment in these subjects if they subsequently obtain credits through the recognition of activities. These credits must be taken into account when formalizing enrollment. When students have obtained the certificates of their completed activities, they must formalize recognition of the ECTS credits at the Administrative Office.
